Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv have announced the signing of Tamir Blatt on a three-year contract running through the end of the 2028-29 season. The 29-year-old, 1.78-meter point guard returns to Hapoel for a second stint.
Blatt played last season with Maccabi Tel Aviv, averaging 6.8 points, 4.6 assists and 1.9 rebounds per game in EuroLeague, while shooting 36.5 percent from three and 46.7 percent from two-point range. In the Israeli league, he posted 9.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, shooting 40.7 percent from two and 39.3 percent from beyond the arc.
He began his professional career with Hapoel while also playing for A.S. Ramat Hasharon through a dual-registration arrangement. He later played for Hapoel Holon, Hapoel Jerusalem, Alba Berlin and Maccabi Tel Aviv. His résumé includes a German league title and German Cup with Alba, along with two Israeli championships and five Israeli Cups.
