The Israeli Basketball Super League semifinal between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem was suspended on Sunday during the third quarter following a missile alert linked to launches from Iran.
At the time of the interruption, Hapoel Tel Aviv was leading 77-67. Officials decided to stop the game immediately in order to protect the safety of players, coaches, staff and fans inside the arena.
The suspension leaves uncertainty regarding when and how the contest will be completed. League authorities are expected to announce further details and possible rescheduling plans once the security situation allows.
