Hapoel Tel Aviv has officially announced the appointment of Stav Shaham as its new chairman. Shaham will take on the role entirely on a voluntary basis, with one of his primary tasks being to strengthen the club’s connection with its community and supporters.
“Hapoel Tel Aviv is much more than a sports club to me. I have supported Hapoel since childhood, and I accept this role with a great sense of responsibility,” Shaham said in the club’s official statement. A businessman and current board member, he previously owned Hapoel Kfar Saba.
The new chairman confirmed Hapoel’s ambitions, identifying the Israeli championship, State Cup and EuroLeague as the club’s targets. According to Hapoel Tel Aviv, further changes to its structure and operations are expected in the coming weeks.
