Hapoel Tel Aviv owner Ofer Yannay and Valencia Basket head coach Pedro Martinez reignited their public back-and-forth on social media.
The exchange came after recent results pushed Hapoel back to the top of the standings.
Yannay joked that Valencia had only briefly enjoyed first place before Hapoel reclaimed it.
Martinez responded with irony, offering sarcastic praise about Yannay and the strength of his team.
As of January 6, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Valencia are both 14-6, with Hapoel leading on point differential.
The two EuroLeague leaders will meet again on February 5 in Tel Aviv, after Hapoel won the first matchup 100–93.
You have a better team and you are the best basketball president at the world. Congratulations.
