Tyrese Haliburton delivered a dazzling all-around performance to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 121-112 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Pacers’ point guard finished with 22 points, 13 assists, 3 blocks and a steal, marking a playoff stat line never before achieved in Pacers history.
Indiana controlled most of the game, despite a late fourth-quarter surge by Cleveland. After the Cavs took a brief lead, the Pacers closed with a 20-10 run, highlighted by a Haliburton step-back three and a chase-down block turned layup.
“We know we’re the underdogs,” Haliburton said. “But we believe in ourselves and in our style of play.” Six Pacers scored in double figures, including Andrew Nembhard’s 23 points on 5-of-6 from deep.
Game 2 is Tuesday night in Cleveland, with Indiana now holding home-court advantage.
