Hackett, Russian trio brings CSKA one win away from 9th consecutive Euroleague Final Four

Euroleague defending champions got a 78-67 win over Fenerbahce in Game 2

With a game similar to Wednesday’s Game 1, Euroleague defending champion CSKA Moscow moved a win away from its 9th consecutive Final Four appearance by going up 2-0 in the best-of-5 series against Fenerbahçe. Holding off on another Turkish’s 3rd quarter comeback, the Russians had the better hand in the final 12 minutes thanks in particular to 4 3-pointers from unlikely Russian trio formed of Antonov, Ukhov and Kurbanov.

CSKA’s star of the game, however, was Daniel Hackett, who ended with 14 points and 8 assists for an excellent 25 in PIR. Shengelia added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists, while Fenerbahçe had a strong performance from Marko Guduric (27 points)
