The former Greens player, now with Zalgiris Kaunas, clarified the meaning behind his recent comments about his experience in Athens.

Marius Grigonis has addressed Panathinaikos fans following the reactions to his recent comments about his experience with the club. The former Greens player, now with Zalgiris Kaunas, stressed that he did not want to erase the positive moments from his four years in Athens.

“My four years in Panathinaikos can’t be described only by the bad and difficult moments,” Grigonis wrote.

The Lithuanian looked back fondly on playing in front of the fans at OAKA and winning the EuroLeague, which he described as “the pinnacle” of his basketball career. “There is a lot of love and respect for the Panathinaikos people and the club itself,” he concluded.
