Grayson Allen was ejected from the NBA Cup quarterfinal as the Phoenix Suns fell 138-89 to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The guard shoved Chet Holmgren while the big man appeared to be setting a screen, knocking him to the floor and sparking a brief skirmish.

With the Thunder up 94-58 and 5:18 left in the third, Allen extended both arms into Holmgren, leading players from both teams to converge in the area.
After review, officials upgraded the action to a flagrant foul 2, drawing a loud reaction from the Oklahoma City crowd.

Allen finished with 10 points on 3-of-9 shooting and later said he didn’t believe the contact warranted an ejection, calling it a “good foul” within the game’s physical tone.
For OKC, Jalen Williams said Allen’s move was “something he’s done his whole career” and that it added “juice” as the Thunder closed out the worst defeat in Suns history.
