Gran Canaria, Gudmundsson: “In this competition, you can’t afford to take a day off”

The Icelandic arrived on the island today and gave his first statements as a new Gran Canaria player.

“I feel great. I think we have a great team and a great coach. I’ve played against some of the players we have on the team and also alongside some others. I think we have a great group. I think we can bring Gran Canaria back to the ACB”.

“I think I can bring a lot of physicality, leadership on the court and extend what Bruno wants onto the floor, doing whatever he wants me to do”.

“I think you have to respect every game and fight in every game to win. If you take a day off, you lose the game. It’s a very tough competition, but I think we have very good players who know this competition and know how it works. We have to work every day to be at the best level possible”.

“It’s incredible. They are great guys, they are my friends. We played together two years ago and last year I was with Bruno and Luke. I’m happy and excited to be here”.
