Coach Gordon Herbert admitted Bayern Munich’s challenges, with injuries and absences following EuroBasket. “We had eight internationals and now half of them are missing,” he noted.
The biggest setback is Rokas Jokubaitis’ injury: “For me, he is the best point guard in Europe, but he will be out for at least six months. That’s a heavy blow.” Voigtmann, Olaz and Da Silva are also struggling.
“We need two or three more players, but the market is completely dry. Still, there are no excuses, others must step up,” Herbert stressed, adding that Jokubaitis’ absence could give Olaz the chance to take the next step.
