Goran Filipovic’s contract ends, parts ways with Valencia Basket

Point guard Goran Filipovic has left Valencia Basket after his short-term contract with the club expired.

The Croatian international playmaker arrived at Valencia Basket on September 26 with a two-month agreement. During that time, he helped the team during a difficult time when the point guard position was severely impacted by the injuries of Chris Jones and Sergio de Larrea, as well as personal reasons for Stefan Jovic’s absence.

Filipovic was an important asset in raising the level of practice and played in four games, posting 7 points and a 10 rating in his best performance against Umana Reyer Venice. A back injury prevented him from participating in the team’s final matches.
