Golden State Warriors to reshape Steve Kerr’s staff as Stotts and Stackhouse depart

The Golden State Warriors will make changes to Steve Kerr’s coaching staff, with Terry Stotts and Jerry Stackhouse not returning next season.

According to ESPN, both top assistants saw their contracts expire after the season. Terry Stotts, Kerr’s lead assistant and offensive coordinator, had already informed Kerr late in the regular season that he did not plan to return.

Jerry Stackhouse, Golden State’s defensive coordinator, will also leave the franchise as he looks for head coaching opportunities elsewhere. Both coaches spent two seasons on Kerr’s staff.

The Warriors have started searching for replacements, with Willie Green reportedly among the candidates. Kerr, meanwhile, has signed a new two-year deal and will remain Golden State’s head coach.
