The Golden State Warriors are set to keep Ömer Yurtseven on a second 10-day contract. The Turkish center first joined the team in mid-March on an initial short-term deal as Golden State dealt with frontcourt injury issues.
During that first stint, Yurtseven provided useful bench minutes for a depleted rotation. The situation remains difficult because Al Horford is still out with a left calf strain, according to official NBA reporting.
For the Warriors, this is a continuity move at a time when every available body matters. Yurtseven now gets another chance to carve out a role and show he deserves to stay in the picture for the rest of the season.
