The Golden State Warriors reportedly showed no interest in including Jimmy Butler in trade packages for Anthony Davis or Jaylen Brown this summer. They also shut down any Butler-plus-picks talks for players they viewed as inferior to a healthy Butler.
According to Anthony Slater, Golden State was unwilling to offer Butler for Davis or Brown because of the draft-pick packages required and the contracts attached to both players.
“All other Butler-plus-picks conversations — for what the Warriors believe are ultimately lesser players once Butler returns — were shut down,” team sources said.
