Good news for the Milwaukee Bucks, as Giannis Antetokounmpo rejoined practice after missing the first few days of training camp while recovering from COVID-19 in Greece.

The two-time MVP participated only in non-contact drills, coach Doc Rivers confirmed, adding that Giannis will need “about three days” to be fully ready. “I’m not 100 percent yet physically,” Antetokounmpo said. “But I’m getting better day by day. I’ve got 18 days until the first game, so I think I’ll be fine.”

Rivers also noted that the temporary absence of the team’s superstar could have a silver lining: “The key for us every year is the minutes when Giannis is off the floor. Working without him helps us prepare for that.”
