Giannis Antetokounmpo reportedly only seriously considered Knicks this offseason

Per Shams Charania, Giannis Antetokounmpo viewed the New York Knicks as the only team he wanted outside of Milwaukee, but trade talks stalled.

In August, the Knicks and Bucks engaged in discussions, yet no strong offer emerged. Milwaukee made clear it preferred to keep the two-time MVP, who ultimately returned for his 13th season with the team.

After three straight first-round exits, Antetokounmpo’s commitment to the Bucks may hinge on early-season success. League sources see this year as a pivotal test before his 2026 player option and potential $275 million extension.
