After the defeat against Maccabi Tel Aviv, the third in four Euroleague games, with Ergin Ataman ejected, Panathinaikos president Dimitris Giannakopoulos unleashed on his Instagram account:
“You don’t respect our six titles, you don’t respect our brand, you don’t respect the Giannakopoulos family that invests in basketball for over 30 years, you don’t respect the best by facts coach in Europe. And finally but most important you do not respect our fans. Based on what do you expect respect from our side?”.
