Gianmarco Pozzecco: What these guys have built in the pre-World Cup remains and will remain

Gianmarco Pozzecco commented as follows on the FIP website about Italbasket’s victory over New Zealand, concluding the series of Italian friendly matches before the FIBA World Cup 2023.

«The first thing we realized is that we can lose against everyone. I talked to the players about this, and it can happen to us and to anyone else. However, what these guys have built from the qualifiers to the gathering in Folgaria to this flawless journey in the pre-World Cup remains and will remain. Regardless. This National team has a present and a future. We must be consciously happy about it because one competition won’t change opinions about this team and these guys».
