Germani Brescia will move forward without Nikola Ivanovic and Jason Burnell, two of the team’s key pillars over the past two seasons.
Both players confirmed their departures in interviews with the Brescia edition of Corriere della Sera.
Ivanovic said: “What I can say is that, for now, my journey with Pallacanestro Brescia has come to an end. These have been two wonderful seasons, and I think what we built together was something special. Being with these teammates and playing alongside them was truly amazing.”
Burnell, meanwhile, will leave the club after three years: “The last few seasons have been incredible, and I will remember them forever. I’m grateful to the club, the fans, and the city. This has been the best experience of my basketball career. I can already say that I won’t be playing here next season. Leaving was a difficult decision, but I did what was best for me and my family. Brescia will always be home.”
Ivanovic is expected to join coach Pozzecco at Galatasaray, while Burnell appears set to make his EuroLeague debut with Olimpia Milano.
