Georgios Bartzokas: Panathinaikos’ title win adds pressure on us

Giorgos Bartzokas acknowledged added pressure ahead of the EuroLeague Final Four in Abu Dhabi. “Since Panathinaikos won last year, it feels like we must win too,” he told NOVA.

“I’m not thinking about failure, only small steps,” he said, proud of leading Olympiacos to four straight Final Fours. On facing Monaco and Spanoulis: “We’re playing Monaco, not his name.”

He dismissed talk of a Greek final: “This isn’t about Greek basketball. I only care about Olympiacos winning. What Panathinaikos does doesn’t concern me.”
