Georgios Bartzokas, coach of Olympiacos, commented on the remarkable third quarter that decided the semi-final between the Greek team and Monaco: “Certainly one of the best defensive quarters we have ever played. We gave nothing away to a very athletic team, we applied pressure and gained confidence in attack. The third quarter was crucial.”

But what happened during the break? “The discussion was calm. In the first half, we missed nine free throws and two or three easy layups. I had to calm the team down to make sure they played our game. I didn’t need to get angry.”
