Garbajosa on NBA Europe: “We believe the NBA’s arrival in Europe is great for European basketball”

Jorge Garbajosa spoke to Mozzart Sport about the NBA Europe project. Here are his statements regarding the potential creation of an NBA league in Europe:

Garbajosa’s words: “The NBA has to take the lead on this. We are cooperating as much as we can, because we believe their arrival would be a great thing for the basketball ecosystem in Europe. As FIBA, we’ve talked with the NBA, we’ve talked with EuroLeague — we are fighting to have the best possible competitions in Europe and to ensure overall growth. Naturally, we are also taking care of national teams and the domestic competition calendar. We are working on a structured pyramid of competitions in Europe — this is what we’re asking from both the NBA and EuroLeague: to find the best model for everyone.”
