Gallinari: Winning the NBA title would be worth the price of all I’ve been through over the years

The Italian forward just started his 16th NBA season

Danilo Gallinari was interviewed by Libero after scoring 16 points in his debut with the Washington Wizards.

On returning to the court after 13 months.

“I feel good. Like all comebacks, after 13 months without playing there is always some rust, but I feel good, even thinking about the minutes I’ll have on the court. Then there’s always work to be done to reach the best condition. In the last 13 months I’ve only taken four days off. I’ve done so much work that this was the only possible result. Of course, I couldn’t expect to score 16 points in 17 minutes in the first game, but I felt ready”.

His new team.

” I have already worked with many people of the front office in the past, I knew them very well and they knew me. I hope it’s the right place: with all the love I have for basketball, after 13 months off I just want to play, regardless of the team. I don’t know what the minutes or the role will be, but I’ll try to do what I can during the time I’ll be on the court’.

After so many physical problems, ‘Gallo’ hopes to be in credit with luck.

“I have the reputation of being injury prone, and in fact I have had more injuries on average than others. Winning the NBA title would be worth the price of all I’ve been through over the years’.
