Fred VanVleet Agrees to Two-Year, $50M Deal with Rockets

Fred VanVleet and the Houston Rockets have agreed to a two-year, $50 million contract, according to Shams Charania.

The new deal gives the Rockets added financial flexibility, as it comes at a lower figure than the team option originally included in VanVleet’s previous contract. The agreement also features a player option for the 2026–27 season.

This move marks yet another major step in a busy start to the offseason for the franchise, following the contract extensions of Steven Adams and head coach Ime Udoka, as well as the blockbuster trade that brought in Kevin Durant.
