The transfer of Frank Ntilikina has collapsed as Olympiacos refused to pay the $300,000 buyout demanded by Partizan, leaving the French guard in Belgrade.
Despite an initial agreement, the Serbian club decided to retain the 2017 NBA Draft 8th pick once the Reds declined the fee. Olympiacos must now look elsewhere for backcourt reinforcements.
Coach Giorgos Bartzokas admitted the team needs another guard, though no addition will arrive before the start of the EuroLeague season. Meanwhile, Olympiacos is competing in the Greek SuperCup in Rhodes.
