France beat Hungary 98-79 in Group G of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Qualifiers: Amine Noua led with 21, Elie Okobo scored 18, and Zoltan Perl had 18 for Hungary. France never trailed, led almost the entire night, and were already up 55-35 at halftime.
The decisive stretch came early as France opened with an 8-0 burst and took the first quarter 25-16, establishing a double-digit cushion they never gave back. Okobo finished with 18 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds, went 6-for-6 at the line and committed zero turnovers, while Noua poured in 21 in 17:23 with 5-of-7 from three and no turnovers.
Hungary’s best push was an 11-0 run in the third (64-41 to 64-52), but France steadied and hit a game-high +25 twice in the same period (60-35 and 62-37). Sylvain Francisco added 17 with a team-best +31 plus/minus, and Adam Mokoka scored 15 as France closed it out comfortably.
