In an in-depth interview with L’Equipe, Evan Fournier said his current idea is to “finish this contract and retire,” while noting it’s not a fully final decision. He pointed to the grind of travel and a growing desire to spend time with his children and family.
On goals, Fournier stressed that EuroLeague remains the target, but he can’t even picture lifting the trophy at OAKA, Panathinaikos’ home and the Final Four venue (May 22–24): “It’s impossible to imagine… and honestly, I don’t want to think about it.”
On the rotation shift with Dorsey starting and him coming off the bench, he said the team changed course after the loss in Barcelona: “Since then, we’ve made a big turn, we’ve transformed,” adding that he focuses on what the team needs rather than stats: “Winning is all that matters”.
