Fenerbahce Beko became the third team to qualify for the 2025-26 EuroLeague Final Four, joining Olympiacos and Real Madrid. Sarunas Jasikevicius’ team defeated Zalgiris Kaunas 94-90 after overtime and will now face Olympiacos in the semifinals in Athens.
The game was decided by the smallest details. Zalgiris led in the final seconds of regulation after Sylvain Francisco made his free throws, but with just over one second left Wade Baldwin IV converted a layup from Jasikevicius’ final play, sending the game to overtime.
Fenerbahce opened the extra period with more control and composure. In the final minute, with the Turkish side up 92-90, Francisco missed the go-ahead three with 27 seconds left; then Talen Horton-Tucker hit both free throws with 24 seconds remaining to seal the win.
Horton-Tucker finished with 21 points and 6 rebounds, while Khem Birch delivered a huge double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds. For Zalgiris, Francisco had 23 points and 11 assists, Azuolas Tubelis added 16 and Edgaras Ulanovas scored 15.
