Fenerbahce reportedly is the frontrunner for TJ Shorts

After a spectacular season with Paris, TJ Shorts is the hottest name on the European market. Milan, Olympiacos, Fenerbahçe and Barça all chasing the star point guard

TJ Shorts might not have won the MVP title — that went to Kendrick Nunn — but he was arguably the most electrifying player in EuroLeague this season. Leading Paris to the Playoffs, the Californian guard became a prime target for nearly every elite club in Europe.

Eurodevotion today talked about it. Paris made an initial offer to retain him, but it was reportedly turned down. At 27, Shorts is aiming for the biggest contract of his career, and he wants to prove himself on a true championship-caliber roster.

Olimpia Milano came forward with a €2M net offer, later raised to €2.5M, but even that may fall short. Olympiacos and Fenerbahçe are the two strongest contenders. The Greek side was an early favorite, but Fenerbahçe may now hold the edge. Barcelona is also monitoring the situation, and rumors say they considered hiring Tiago Splitter to support Shorts tactically.

Efes and Panathinaikos are still possible destinations, though less concrete at this stage.

Where will TJ Shorts play next season? It’s still too early to say, but Fenerbahçe appears to have a slight lead — for now.
