Fenerbahce Beko have officially announced that they have parted ways with Scottie Wilbekin by mutual agreement. In their statement, the club recalled that the guard joined in the summer of 2022 and played a part in many of the team’s achievements across four seasons in yellow and navy. However, over the past two years, he has played only 14 official matches following last year’s serious injury.
Wilbekin’s exit is a notable roster development, especially because Fenerbahce had announced a contract extension for him in June 2025. In the new statement, however, the club used a grateful tone, thanking the veteran guard for his contribution and wishing him success in the next stage of his career.
That brings an important chapter to a close for Wilbekin in Istanbul, where he was also part of the squad that won the 2025 EuroLeague title. The next step in his career is now one of the storylines to watch on the European market.
