Fenerbahce, Jasikevicius’ outburst: “Very sad night for turkish basketball journalism”

Fenerbahce coach Jasikevicius' outburst when he finds out he has no questions about Hayes-Davis' record.

Fenerbahce narrowly defeated Alba Berlin in the EuroLeague Round 32 as Nigel Hayes-Davis made history with a 50-point performance, breaking the single-game scoring record in the history of the event. Turkish club coach Sarunas Jasikevicius spoke to reporters in the press room after the game. Below are his statements in which he did not hide his frustration.

Jasikevicius after commenting on the game and receiving no questions about the record: “After a 50-point game in the EuroLeague, I have no questions. It’s sad, okay? Very sad for basketball journalism in Turkey. I’m really pissed off, to be honest. We beat Barcelona last week. It was one of the most unbelievable games in terms of the way the game went. Fenerbahce played incredible basketball, Barcelona came back, made a great comeback and Fenerbahce won again. There were three questions in the last press conference. Two were gossip questions, asking me to comment on a tweet. Social media in this situation is the most ridiculous thing, the saddest thing. Now Nigel Hayes-Davis breaks the points record and I have no questions in the press conference? I am very sorry, I think this is a very sad night for Turkish basketball journalism.
