Fenerbahce have officially signed Lithuanian guard Ignas Sargiunas

Fenerbahce have officially signed Lithuanian guard Ignas Sargiunas to a two-year contract with an option for a third season.

The 1.94-meter guard, born in 1999, began his professional career with Zalgiris Kaunas 2 in 2015 before moving to the United States in 2018. He played one season with Georgia Athletics and then transferred to Colorado State. After returning to Europe, Sargiunas suited up for BC Prienai, Medi Bayreuth, Neptunas and, since 2024, BC Rytas.

During the 2025-26 Basketball Champions League season, he helped BC Rytas capture the title while averaging 11.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.

Sargiunas has also represented Lithuania at youth level, winning a silver medal at the 2016 FIBA U18 European Championship in Türkiye and a bronze medal in 2017 in Slovakia. He also appeared for the Lithuanian senior national team during the EuroBasket 2027 Qualifiers, averaging 19.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

Fenerbahçe welcomed Sargiunas to the club and wished him every success as he begins his new chapter with the team from the 2026-27 season onward.
