Fenerbahçe Beko opened the Turkish league semifinals in style with a convincing 93-76 win over Bahçeşehir Koleji. The hosts led from start to finish, never trailing and capitalizing on their opponent’s poor 2-for-12 shooting from beyond the arc.
Fenerbahçe took early control with solid defense and fluid offense. After closing the first quarter up 20-14, they extended their lead steadily, powered by a standout performance from Nigel Hayes-Davis (21 points, 5 rebounds). Sertaç Şanlı added 15 points before leaving the game due to a muscle injury, while Arturs Zagars contributed 14 points and 4 assists. Both Guduric and Zagars suffered minor knocks but returned to the floor.
Bahçeşehir’s efforts to rally, led by Tai Odiase (16 points) and Marko Simonovic (12), fell short due to their offensive struggles and inability to stop Fenerbahçe’s momentum. Game 2 is set for Saturday at 8:30 PM, again on Fenerbahçe’s home court.
