Fenerbahce Istanbul is nearing the signing of Chris Silva, with BasketNews sources confirming the deal is being finalized and the AEK Athens center has committed. Yagiz Sabuncuoglu of Sports Digitale was first to report the transfer.
Silva has delivered a standout Basketball Champions League season: 14.8 points on 70% two-point shooting, 8.0 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.0 blocks, plus a 21 efficiency rating. He was named BCL group phase MVP, ranked third in efficiency, and recently posted a 33-efficiency performance vs Patrioti Levice.
In Greece, he also produced a notable December game vs Olympiakos with 31 points, 9 rebounds and a 39 efficiency score in a 7-point loss. Drafted in 2019 with 70 NBA games on his resume, Silva is now set for his EuroLeague debut.
