38-year-old French guard Fabien Causeur has announced his retirement from professional basketball.
“Basketball has given me everything: emotions in every game I played, teammates who taught me so much, coaches who pushed me to be better in every practice, and memories that will stay with me forever,” Causeur said.
Before playing last season with Olimpia Milano, Causeur spent seven years with Real Madrid, winning 14 titles: two EuroLeague championships, four ACB titles, two Copa del Rey trophies and six Spanish Super Cups.
His 486 appearances for Los Blancos rank third all-time among non-Spanish players in club history.
