European Competitions allowed in Italy even after lockdown of entire country

The games will be played behind closed doors

Italy has been put under a total lockdown, as the coronavirus spreads in the country. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announced that he is extending restrictions already in place in the north.

“All the measure of the red zones are now extended to all of the national territory,” Conte said at a press conference on Monday evening, also announcing a ban on all public events.
The all sports in Italy are suspended at least till April 3 but the international competitions will continue to be played in the country with all the games that have to be played behind closed doors.
Basketball talking, there is one team in EuroLeague, Olimpia Milano, and two in EuroCup, Virtus Bologna and Reyer Venezia.
Pro athletes too can continue to practice behind closed doors.
