EuroLeague is working on a closed competition for the 2023-2024 season as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
All teams will start the season with a permanent license and the EuroCup will no longer be a gateway to the tournament. EuroLeague would be an NBA-style private competition and it will be possible to access by invitation only to replace a company in economic difficulty.
The 11 founding clubs are the main promoters of this project as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
