The EuroLeague has officially suspended Serbian referee Uros Nikolic after his arrest in connection with an alleged organized criminal group, as reported by RTS and Blic.
In a statement, EuroLeague confirmed that Nikolic will remain suspended until both the local authorities’ investigation and Euroleague Basketball’s internal review are completed. The Serbian Basketball Federation (KSS) has also suspended him indefinitely.
Police reportedly found €250,000 in his apartment during a raid. The 40-year-old official, who worked the 2021 and 2024 Final Fours, had officiated four EuroLeague games this season, including Real Madrid–Olympiacos and Hapoel Tel Aviv–Maccabi Tel Aviv.
