EuroLeague Round 5: Barcelona suffers long but wins against ASVEL Villeurbanne in the last minutes

Barcelona defeated ASVEL Villeurbanne 90-83 in the 5th round of the EuroLeague. Contrary to the predictions, the game was entertaining and very balanced. In fact, the French played a great game and managed to give coach Penarroya’s team a run for their money. In the fourth period, however, ASVEL’s offence broke down and Barcelona were able to make the plays that decided the game, including a very important basket by Kevin Punter with 30 seconds left.

Barcelona finished with 20 points from Punter, 14 from Vesely and 12 from Parker.

ASVEL got 21 points from Maledon, 17 from Sako with 9 rebounds and 14 points each from De Colo and Khaudi.
