Braian Angola delivered a dominant performance to lead LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne to just its second road win of the season, a stunning 88-91 victory at Anadolu Efes Istanbul. The 26-point outing earned Angola Round 30 MVP honors with a PIR of 28 – the highest among winning players this round – in just his seventh EuroLeague game.
Angola shot efficiently across the board: 4-of-7 two-pointers, 3-of-6 three-pointers and 9-of-11 free throws, while adding 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 9 fouls drawn. Angola earned his first-ever MVP of the Round award, becoming the second ASVEL player to secure this honor this season. Bastien Vautier was the Round 18 MVP with a PIR of 31, also against Efes.
Saben Lee of Efes posted the round’s highest index rating with a 29 PIR, but it came in a losing effort against Angola’s ASVEL. Lee finished with 18 points on 5-of-7 two-pointers, 1-of-1 three-pointers and 5-of-5 free throws, adding 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 6 fouls drawn.

Edwards had 32 points in Virtus’s 92-84 road loss to Real Madrid, hitting 7-of-10 two-pointers and 6-of-14 three-pointers, adding 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 4 fouls drawn. Wright had 20 points on 7-of-11 two-pointers and 6-of-7 free throws in Zalgiris’s 91-87 road loss to Valencia Basket, with 9 rebounds, 1 assist and 5 fouls drawn.
