The uncertainty about the future composition of the EuroLeague continues as we wait to see if there will be an expansion to 20 teams or not. In fact, there are many teams that want to be part of the competition, and according to reports from SDNA, Hapoel Jerusalem wants to buy a three-year license to participate in the competition by paying 5 million euros, possibly more if needed. Thus, there could even be a third Israeli team in the EuroLeague, in addition to Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv, the winners of the 2024-2025 EuroCup season.
