EuroLeague has sanctioned Dimitris Giannakopoulos, majority shareholder of Panathinaikos BC AKTOR, following incidents during Game 2 against Valencia Basket in the 2025–26 playoffs.

The Greek executive received a three-game ban from arenas where his team will play, along with a €10,000 fine. The league opened the case immediately after the game, relying on official reports and the scoresheet.

EuroLeague reiterated its firm stance against behavior that may incite violence or harm its values, also announcing potential disciplinary code changes, including lifetime bans for serious violations.
