EuroLeague 2026-27 schedule expected today, LBA calendar due by Monday

A key day is ahead for the 2026-27 season. The EuroLeague schedule is expected to be released today, a decisive step also for the definition of the Italian Serie A calendar. As anticipated yesterday on RealOlimpiaMilano’s YouTube channel, LBA can complete its work only after the top European competition releases its schedule. Euroleague Basketball had already announced in recent weeks that the official 2026-27 calendar had been approved, with the EuroLeague tip-off set for September 24.

The reason is clear: the European commitments of Olimpia Milano and Virtus Bologna inevitably affect the domestic calendar, including Friday games, double-round weeks, travel needs, recovery time and arena availability. Once the European path is official, Lega Basket will have all the elements needed to finalize the regular season schedule.

The LBA calendar is therefore expected by Monday, barring further delays. The Italian season will officially begin with the SuperCup, scheduled for September 19 and 20 at the Nova Arena in Tortona, with Olimpia Milano facing Virtus Bologna in the semifinal. The Serie A regular season will start on Sunday, September 27.
