Another great performance in big victory has earned Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem guard Jarad Harper MVP of the Round honor, his fourth of the season.
Harper paces Jerusalem to a come-from-behind 90-85 win over Aris Thessaloniki with 29 points, making 2 of 3 two-pointers, 3 of 5 threes and 16 of 17 free throws. Harper also had 5 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 blocks, while drawing 10 fouls. It all accumulated to PIR of 38, the highest of all players in Round 13.
Right behind Harper was Anthony Brown of Turk Telekom Ankara who had 37 PIR in his team’s 98-89 win over Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse. Brown made 4 of 6 two-pointers and 8 of 9 triples, while also collecting 5 rebounds, 4 assists and a block. Marek Mejeris of U-BT Cluj-Napoca had a PIR of 27 in a 104-83 win over Veolia Towers Hamburg, as he finished the game with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Next best PIR, 25, belongs to another Turk Telekom player, Olivier Hanlan, who had 23 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds and 9 drawn fouls. Four players had a PIR of 22 this round: Cluj’s Adam Mokoka and De’Shawn Stephens, Hamburg’s Kur Kuath and ratiopharm Ulm’s Thomas Klepeisz.
