Ergin Ataman moved to tears after Turkey’s EuroBasket final loss

An emotional Ergin Ataman broke down in tears upon Turkey’s return to Istanbul after losing the EuroBasket 2025 final.

The Panathinaikos coach apologized to the Turkish people, proud of the silver medal but devastated by the title slipping away on the last shot.

“We are the champions of hearts, but one day we will be the real champions,” Ataman declared, vowing that Turkey will eventually triumph.
