Enes Kanter Freedom was ejected from Wintrust Arena during Sunday’s WNBA game between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever, a 113-90 Indiana win, following a verbal confrontation with Natasha Cloud.
According to ESPN, Cloud approached Kanter Freedom during a third-quarter timeout while he was sitting courtside wearing a shirt displaying a message defining the word “woman.” Security intervened, holding Cloud back and escorting the former NBA player out of the arena.
Kanter Freedom protested the decision before leaving and later wrote on social media that he had been ejected “for supporting women.” Chicago coach Tyler Marsh urged spectators to focus on basketball and expressed his support for Cloud.
