“Hi everyone,

I would like to provide an update on the upcoming EuroLeague season, since I am sure many of you are wondering if and how the season will be played.

EuroLeague is currently planning to start the season as scheduled (October 1&2).

In mid-September EuroLeague will conduct a detailed analysis of all markets (cities, countries) where teams play and assess the situation for each club. Together with clubs they will create exact rules and protocols in case of possible re-locations and re-scheduling of games.
Analysis of markets will be done once a month and depending on situations in certain countries, any games dates/locations will be changed.

Under no circumstances, teams will be put in quarantines during season for traveling in and out of any countries/cities.

EuroLeague/clubs will be obtaining governmental exceptions to be able to travel to any re-scheduled or re-located games, if needed.

EuroLeague and clubs will try to do everything possible to play out the season, under strict health/safety protocols for players and staff. This will be the new norm not just for EuroLeague, but for other international leagues/sports as well.

If at any point it will become impossible to travel, to play or to follow all safety/health protocols demanded by governments and institutions, the season would be again suspended and/or cancelled.

As of today, expectation is that season will start as scheduled and be played out in its entirety, but of course ELPA and EL will follow weekly changes and situations across all EuroLeague markets.

Please share this info with your teammates. Thanks.”
