ELPA continues talks with clubs on salaries pay cuts

The agreement has not been reached yet and the talks are ongoing

ELPA is continuing the talks with the clubs to reach an agreement on players salaries after suspension for the coronavirus pandemic.

The clubs agreed to pay 80% of the salaries if the season is canceled and they want to pay 85% if the season resumes, a source told Sportando.

There is not a format ready on how to finish the season and ELPA doesn’t believe that the season can continue from the point where it was stopped.

One of the options is to play a Final Eight. If there will be a Final Eight all the 18 teams will have to pay 85% of the salaries. Also the clubs that won’t be participating in the final tournament and whose season is over.

The agreement has not been reached yet and the talks are ongoing.
