Dubai target Thomas Walkup as Olympiacos ask for $3M buyout

According to Eurohoops, the Emirati club is offering the player a two-year, $6 million deal, but Olympiacos have the final say

Dubai Basketball want Thomas Walkup. According to Eurohoops, the Emirati club’s interest is real, while Olympiacos would only be willing to discuss a transfer for a $3 million buyout.

Walkup has one year left on his contract with the EuroLeague champions, running through the summer of 2027, with a $1.1 million net salary and no buyout clause. Dubai are reportedly ready to offer him $6 million over two seasons through 2028 and pay $1 million to release him.

According to the report, however, Walkup’s priority remains an extension with Olympiacos. The two sides have already met several times to discuss that possibility, but the Greek club still has the first and last word on his future.
