Dubai BC hit by Mam Jaiteh’s Achilles injury

Bad news for Dubai BC: Mam Jaiteh suffered a serious Achilles tendon injury during the 98-97 friendly loss against CSKA Moscow.

The 31-year-old French center, who joined from Monaco this summer to share minutes at the “five” with Mfiondu Kabengele, now faces a potentially long layoff. Last season in the EuroLeague, Jaiteh averaged 7.5 points and 4 rebounds over 31 games.

On the court, Dzanan Musa led Dubai with 21 points, followed by Dwayne Bacon (18), Wright (15), Kabengele (11) and Anderson (10).
